We still have no real storm happening here...it's just another wet winter's day...but then we are inland, so no big surprise I suppose...

Like Mike, I had to swan around and even strip off some of the layers i wore to work today.
Weather is just starting to close in. Better move closer to the fire if i can get the cat to shift...

    Lying sods...
I hear tell it is very, very, very not lovely in the capital tonight. It is blowing here tonight, but has been a reasonable day all things considered.

I feel for the poor forcasters really. One look at the camera over Welly this morning on Breakfast should have been a good indicator of what was to come really.

I hate the over danger warnings too. The one they did not tell us about last winter put us out up here for 2 days, that included work, some poor bastards got 5 days of no power. Last weekend I think we were going to get a beauty, we got ummmmm a bit of wind and lashing rain. I have candles, bring it on!

Glad it's today not yesterday.Went to New Plymouth to shift stepson and family,we supplied trailer vehicle, towed it up from Wangas, looking good weatherwise in Naki when got there, loaded and away we went with tail wind, typical get to Patea and missed showers, behind us,then added fuel at Waverley and just caught a shower squall.

Onwards and wind blows the weather away, got to straight before Westmere and a truck and trailer unit emptied the road of water as we went passed.Arrived in Wangavegas and mostly dry furniture so bloody glad we didn't leave later or do it today.

Where the hell do you live!?
It was fine when i left work at 7:00 (Rototuna) by the time i got home at 7:20 (Whatawhata) it was raining hard and was windy as hell. Even last night was pretty bad with lots of wind rain and a bit of lightning. Tonight looks like it may be gearing up for something worse as the wind is quite strong and the rain is quite hard when it comes. I would call it a storm

Went running today at lunchtime around oriental parade. Rain was hitting like pins and needles.

Ride home was ok though. Wind was consistent. Biggest blasts around the stadium then at the top of the gorge. I don't miss the VTR250 when we have weather like today. Nice to have a gruntier / heavier bike.

Well that's us fuxxored then. Everything except the Akatarawas is shut by a slip and the Upper Hutt end of the train line is blocked by a derailed loco, carriage and a slip.

We don't need Transmission Gully. Yeah right.

Just drove over the harbour bridge on the cbr...not the most fun thing I've ever done! like a sail being blown all over the lane (crosswind!!)! interestingly enough it was a bit better when crouching down over the tank...wouldn't have thought my side profile made that much of a sail!:-P (all 64kg of me ha)
