Great coffee run out to Raggers this afternoon. Great to be on a fully fit bike again. Led the way for a while until I lost the group over the divvy........sorry guys. Bikes everywhere Raglan busy, good pub coffee. Link road from Raglan to SH 22 in great nick, only 1 little pice (100m max) of roadworks. Only a little bit of ice grit after Glenn Massey. All n all really enjoyed first outing on my new incarnation, bring on da summer ...

It had snapped on the exhaust bracket ?, Common for those I have pictures on how to fix

PM me your E-mail I will send them through

Air filter, humm newmans for that.

And as for more HP, you can change the base gasket for a smaller one, but you will not get too much more HP out of that barrel. You can get after market barrels, head and exhaust, it does make a a difference by a small amount but no by much.

You can try installing tighter clutch springs, the flywheel will engage closer to the powerband then, that does help. Also if you do not want speed you could change the sprocket back to factory, They probably have a 7 tooth on there.

PM me, or post in the Minimoto

Was a good ride through Scottsman vally on the way back from the (lakes run v2) Really enjoyed that bit, was a great ride and I am getting confidence back at the same rate as I am learning how the 6 wants to be loved.

Yeah man i did quite enjoy the french pass too, although i got a couple of frights on those "oh by the way there's a left hand corner RIGHT HERE - immediately loose 30km/h and lean like buggery" moments.

Well done working on your confidence and working with your bike

    Hehe cheers dude

I only had one moment on the 6 when I felt a bit uncomfortable and that was in Pyes pa on an off camber right hander 45k corner, On the 250 you could just chuck it around.. the R6... like you posted earlier there is alot more rotational mass, You really do notice it in situations like that..

Just looked where I wanted to go and did not button off.. did the trick.

I know french pass fairly well and take it easy going on the downhill parts , Going the other direction is a bit quicker as it is uphill alot more

The little road out of french pass (The one that links Mobil and cuts out Karapero is a good road) that can have a couple of good surprises too, Again that one is better ran in the other direction There is only two corners that you will go, Oh s#%t on! and they are downhill's again going into 25-35k bends (Bumpy under breaking).

Yeah I have a problem with rotational mass too. However in my case it is going to take some pushups and ab crunches

Good to hear you had a good ride though. With any luck the weather is starting to improve. Although I get the impression we are in for a pretty wet spring.
