I find it very interesting that he was riding a '1999 blue-and-white 1000cc Suzuki GSXR.' When the first gsxr1000 was introduced in 2001.
Perhaps this could have got him off the fines and licence suspension.

Best place to stay in Hawkes Bay here
Nearly all men can stand adversity and hard time, but if you want to test a mans true character, give him power....

The fact of the matter is, nobody got hurt.
Good cunt indeed!
But it's all good to have a rant about cars crossing the centreline in the favourite twisties?Various people
Nobody got hurt
I fail to see how it becomes more acceptable to put others' lives at risk simply because it was a rider doing so.
What if you or a buddy were coming the other way on that blind corner, would you consider the fact that nobody could have gotten hurt if the timing was a little different, or do you think, "way to fuck up multiple people's lives random GSXR rider"?
Quite frankly if one of my friends got taken out by somebody riding like a nutcase round a blind corner I don't think I'd take to well to hearing that they were doing so to get to a funeral.
Better late than not at all.
Quite often I take my wife to church on the bike (27km) and when we are late I seize the opportunity to "hurry".
One such day following a maximum burst of "hurry", she commented that we sure got there in real quick time!
I made the comment that it does seem kinda ridiculous though, doesn't it!
She asked why?
I replied, going that fast for an appointment with somebody who has been dead for over 2000 years!
She hadn't thought of it like that,Things we do!
I have lost my excuse for hurrying now!![]()
...and if he HADN'T arrived safe and sound?
If he'd plowed at close to 200km/h into a mini bus of WW2 vets returning from a field trip to the local fish hook museum?
This country is full of optimists - 'it won't happen to me, and if it does, well, she'll be right!'
When it all goes wrong, it leaves a big fucking mess.
Frankly the point has been missed here, that the only 'good cunt' in this story is the judge - and I can't be sure I agree with that either, I think he was a soft cunt.
At the 2007 Westpac Ride:
Donor: So ya glad you're a Biker?
Minnie: F**k yeah!
That would be dangerous driving but he didn't do that did he, he arrived safely at his destination, as intended!
I didn't say he was a "good cunt", I just don't agree that speeding is necessarily dangerous driving!
If I went out on a race track and tried to foot it with the guys on the track, that would be "dangerous driving" whatever the speed!
Speed limits are a mandatory one size fits all bullshit rules.
Almost every driver disrespects them and breaks them at some time, because it is bullshit.
A speeding (dangerous?) driver attacked me one day because I overtook him and stopped further down the road.
He was outraged because I was travelling faster (more dangerously) than him! (both of us were breaking the law)
It really depends upon peoples own perception of the degree of danger, when it comes to "speed"!![]()
Even I have never argued that exceeding the speed limit is necessarily dangerous. It's the manner in which it's done that counts.
However, the combination of overtaking on blind corners, the fact that he was clearly trying to evade the police and hitting speeds probably in excess of 200kph all go together to indicate a manner of riding that quite clearly could be deemed dangerous.
Anyone that defends that manner of riding is on very shaky ground.
