We should do Porangahau for lunch one day too.
We should do Porangahau for lunch one day too.
Yes, that is on the cards too - we just seem to be going the same way most times, I want a bit of a change - but will decide tomorrow at the mobil - after we see whether the sky is blue, grey or pink with pokka dots LOL
Anyone in here a car mechanic by any chance? Should not being asking that at all. But need a hand with the mrs passenger suspension. Any qualified mechanic help would be well appreciated and payed for in cash.
Cheers
Nice ride is Napier Taupo Rd to Glengarry, follow to Puketitiri Rd, then to Patoka, turn around and back to Appely Rd, Puketapu etc...
Great ride to 287. Da rain looked to close for the Taupo road so we went North. Good food and good company. 4 bikes went north.
I hate the SV set-up. Nice for riding two up with the panniers but a bit quicker ride with that set-up is not nice. Will have to soften the rear and firm up the front.
Hope you all got a great ride today.
Got smacked at Golf so I suppose its back to riding for a while

Lorenzo World Champ
Headed to Tarawera, but got cold and started to drizzle, so turned back to Glengary Rd. A bit agricultural with quite a bit of cowshit and the odd patch of gravel. Then to Puketapu pub via Applely Rd. Then a quiet ride to Classic Club for a bourbon.
Bloody bacon making their prescence felt on the Taupo rd again today.
Fortunately none of us helped their quota.
First time on Glengarry for me, interesting.
Good ride.
Good to see TonyW on his new comfy sofa.
Hello all,
Another ride on today for those interested.....
Meet BP Bay view at 11am. Going to Cafe 287 for lunch.
Not sure if I'll be on this one or not - domestic duties!!!!!![]()
Was a great ride yesterday - despite the, gravel and cow poop LOL
Hope we didn't scare you off Tony W![]()
We had a good feed there yesterday but at $19.00 for an all day breaky with tea for one I have to ask if it is good value. Yes plenty on the plate so you get up full and happy but $19.00?
Have a good ride as that road is in top condition. Clean and shingle free.
Lots of Goats, we came to a standstill as they crossed the road, and turkeys on the road yesterday with one sheep added to the mix. One bacon at Tangoio.
It is going to be another cracker day. Off to buckets with the youngest son. To have a look and maybe inspire him to finish his bike………………….
Wairoa is tempting but really have to do some stuff round here today, so will hop on the quad and go do it.
Might have time to go for a pootle late morn early arvo, prob HW50, Patangata etc.
Anyone out this way on such a glorious day is welcome to stop for a pitstop.
