I read in another forum that WSB is coming back to NZ early next year to be run in tandem with the V8's.Probably after the Phillip Island round in Feburary at the Hampton Downs circut.Anyone confirm?I'd like to start planning a trip up there if it's true.

Thanx mate,but I thought Hampton Downs was in Auckland?And the last time we had WSB was in 1990 at Manfield not 1992 as that article states?

1990 was wrong,that's the round I attended,not the last time we hosted.

Hampton Downs is just as close to Auckland as it is to Hamilton. It is still in the Waikato.

My understanding is that the 2010 application to Dorna has been removed and they are re-applying for the 2011 series as it is too close to get everything ready in time for 2010. They want everything right and not rushed.
They will be pushing to have the event at Hampton Downs the week after it is held at Phillip Island which is traditionally in early March.
Every motorcycle handles perfectly. Then the rider gets on.

Couple of years ago i was talking to someone who races bikes and he said Hampton Downs would never get built. People have no faith these days
