    Summer pants?

That aren't going to make me sweat like a roast pig? I've been wearing my trusty "neo" textile pants the past couple of years and they're great in winter time but, during the summer months they leave me soaking wet with sweat. I'm keen on getting myself some more "breathable" textile pants or maybe some decent "jeans" like draggin or technic jeans.
Can anyone recommend a good brand of textile pants perfect for summer riding? what do yous guys wear in summer?

I have got a pair of technics sprint pants, that I wear all year round. I take out the liner during the summer, they are good, but on really hot days even they get warm. Generally wear shorts underneath if I am going to stop for any time. If I am touring around in a 50 kph area I have a pair of Draggins that I wear. I don't wear these if I am going out over 100kph, as I don't believe they will protect me in the event of an accident.

I've got a pair of Rev'it Factor textile pants.
    Bought them two summers ago.
Without the thermal liner you can actually feel a breeze yet they are waterproof. Very good in summer.
Chuck in the thermal liner and they are warm even on a cold day.

Been riding in them 5-6 days per week for almost two years and I have no complaints.

Perhaps you should consider something like kevlar Jeans, such as Draggin Jeans.

Thanks fellas ! I'm going to check out all of your suggestions so far.....
With regards to the jeans. I have also been a little suspicious of their protective qualities and will do further research..... leathers are out of the question because, they are just too damn hot in summer. Textile pants are my first choice and then.... maybe the kevlar stitched jeans.

I only wear Draggins during summer. If it's wet, I put waterproof overtrousers on over them.

I don't like wearing leather or cordura in summer because they're both hot and uncomfortable.

This has been posted before ... but check out Draggin's demo video on on their site. It's real impressive.

    +1 Draggin Jeans

Wore a pair for the first time last summer on our trip up around the East Cape...fantastic..comfortable and not too hot. Best bit is not having to pack another pair of pants to go out to dinner etc..just wear the jeans.

Havent had to test the protection factor but seen the video so will go with that.....

Wide-leg MX pants are nice and cool in summer. Unlike regular MX pants most of the styles look more like regular trousers. They are generally made of heavy duty cordura, so would be suitably abrasion resistant, but don't have all the extra waterproof layers etc that make normal textile pants so hot and sweaty.

Generally they don't come with armour - I wear MX knee guards under mine, they are fairly cheap, and would provide a lot more protection than the thin foamy 'armour' in my regular textile pants.

I wear the same Quasi leathers summer or winter.
I always wear merino thermals underneath - also summer or winter. Sounds crazy but they do the warmth in winter and the coolth in summer...insulfluffulation or summat....

I have. Twice. Despite opinions to the contrary, I can vouch for the fact that they don't vaporise on contact with tarmac.

I have a pair of the summer pants listed on this page
    http://darbi.co.nz/webpages/files/MO...s_Pants_01.pdf

    I recommend them.

I also have both the jackets at the top. I recommend those too.
