I have heard Rgs dyno at around 27-29 at the wheel.

Mint, 5 thou oversize jets, space the carb needles .5mm, pilot screws 3 turns out should do it after you have a different can on the back, airbox and filter are already top notch and you will only loose power that way on the spada. cbr250r mc19 front srpings, preload at max on the rear is heaps if your shock is ok. cbr250r clip on bars [lower]. DOT 5.1 brake fluid front and rear and a decent set of pads. Braided lines...done! Should see 34hp at the hoop, bugger all weight in the headlight and the pegs though. I would be suprised if there was 2kg there

though at this point its not clear wether the Spada will be eligible as its a jap model Still waiting to hear back on that(wheres the praying icon)

Took her out for a thrash the other day after giving her a good going over & was pleasantly surprised a tad slow on the getgo, but once up in the rev range it can hussle along surprisngly well, nice nimble wee thing, somewhat like the Bros I thought, front brake works surprisingly well & stoppies quite effectively. Quite good in the gravel too
Seems quite hard in the rear for me even on position 1, so am a wondering about the spring...

Yeah cbr clip ons are the best way to go. My bors rode very similar to the spada [except the power and torque part] The bros was nimble, but not to the silly extent of the spada. Yes the spada is slow but take any other 250 twin for a blat...and they don't tank slapper like the bros! Hopefully it's eligible

Whats with the tyre size rule? Means i couldn't enter the GPX if i ever felt like it

Be nice if they gave us an old age dispensation...I wonder if our respective clubs would allow some slack on those rules, they might be harder on it if you were racing the Nats ?

Hmmm I think an email explaining that the spada should be eligible purely because of the fact that it is a 250cc four stroke twin may help sort the deal. What's wrong with a non nzdm bike?

Yeah, my worst tankslap ever was on my Bros, but I cut the tight winds off the bottom of the springs then made up longer preload spacers & 15wt oil & she behaved herself nicely after that

I never managed to do that, I learned it liked a good slap when I crashed it

Oh so you are also wrong. Your bike fully wet will be around 190-200kg. with 25hp at the wheel.

My experience with club racing would tell me youd be ok.Had a discussion with Maarty Van Booma on thursday night and he said the rules are finalised and should be on the MNZ website very soon

Couldnt be bothered adding fuel...adding the same amount of fuel will add the same amount of weight right?
There are a lot of variables...including amount of fuel and rider weight
But I was doing a purely mathematical equation, without factoring in those variables

Plus was just pointing out how wrong your HP values were....
