    Damn shocking!

Hey I heard somewhere the other day that apparently lots of people are reporting that they are getting shocks off the shelving at both Countdown and Woolworths stores.

I find that I get shocks off stuff all the time....drives me fricken nuts but I seemed to be getting more than my usual share the other day at Woolies and got mighty pissed off about it after the 15th shock in the space of 10 minutes!!!

SO is it just me and the story I vaguely recall is crap or has anyone else experienced this recently.

BTW - it only started happening recently...since the J'ville Woolies got a 'makeover' and the countdown store changed it's shelving.

This often happens when you wear footwear with high amounts of nylon in the sole. The charge rubs onto your shoe soles.

Get shoes with a rubber sole and it wont happen again.

Prolly static electromatrickery...I get it all the time from everything and always have. I put it down to my magnetic personality ().

I got up off the recliner chair t'other night, went to pat the cat and zapped her with a spark...she seemed a little pissed off with me after that...

Yeah I'm aware of the nylon shoe thing and since I suffer from this so badly I am careful to wear rubber soles as much as possible.

YUP! I get this too. I zapped one of my colleagues at work the other day - she also was a little pissed off with me about it...I laughed on the inside - she can be as pissy as she likes...can't stand the bitch anyway

Utter bullshit. This only happens to Hawt, Hawt, girls no matter what they wear

I can get a static shock off almost anything. I am well known for giving static shock kisses to my nearest and dearests. It is not only synthetic surfaces rubbing together, it is also about humidity and how susceptable you are.

Ya need to get yaself a bit more grounded !
Orrrr just like ya see hanging off the undercarrige of cars, let a static strap hang on the ground while ya walk around the shop !!
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
