Lap times for NZ superbikes in 1990?

Does anyone know where I can fined out the lap times of the bikes racing in NZ in 1990?
I'm racing in pre'89s and am curious what lap times Stroudy, Rees, Josiah were doing at Manfield and Pukekohe.

Pukekohe has had a change too the left hander following the hairpin since then and it dropped the laptimes by about a second so they would be irrelevant ,But Manfeild,Aaron Slight qualified in the nines on his TKA ZXR750 at the Pan Pacific in 1991.Brian Bernard could probably give you a more accurate figure for both tracks.Contact him at Bernard racing.co.nz

Then Aaron took it back with the TKA with a 1.08 in the 2nd race.

Actually,To tell the truth,The Sunday of the 1992 WSB round at Manfeild was the day I retired after losing the front brakes going into Dunlop on the second lap of the 1st F2 race,Spent the rest of the day in my caravan with 2 bottles of Jack LOL,I couldnt even tell you who was riding that weekend let alone what laptimes they were doing,I barely remember even being there. If memory serves me correctly(and it probably doesnt) that Robbie Phillis did a 1.06 something and that record stood for sometime,You could ask him at the TRRS in December.I think the original question was referring to NZ superbikes anyway.Im fairly sure during the National series Russell Josiah and co were doing around the 1.10 mark.Give him a ring at Bike Torque Taumaranui

    Thanks guys,
The NZPCRA has the first round of their season at Manfield at the Vic meeting in Sept.
Looks like the pre'89 guys on there 1000's+ still have away to go then to match the old lap times.

I used to do 1.17s on a poxy CBR600 in F2 and 1.19s on an NS400R in Junior proddy but today i can only get a 1.21 on the CBR400RR as im officially old and past it i hear lol.
The other factor is the banking is less and the surface is full of joints and the bumps are everywhere lol.
With better tyres and shit we should all be able to go better but i still see improvements in classes every year by miliseconds so were almost back to the future.

Well, as a fair comparison I hope you have found an old stock of 20 year old tyres to use?

The fastest lap from race 1 at Manfield from WSBK was Fred Merkel 1m 16.12s, wet race. Race 2 Stephane Mertens 1m 11.26s on slicks on a drying track.
This is the first year they came here, 1988.
    1989: Race 1, Mike Dowson 1m 15.57s wet. Race 2, Aaron Slight 1m 08.17s dry.
1990: Race 1, Terry Rymer 1m 08.48s, Race 2, Rob Phillis and Raymond Roche
    1m 08.39s.
    1992: Race 1, Aaron Slight 1m 07.38s, Race 2, Doug Polen 1m 06.97s.
Dug out some Motocourses to check times.

1st race, big woops by me, I gad no spare wheels back then, so just gave i a go on Slicks, YEP, I crashed out near the very end of the race, lasted a very long tome though on slicks on a wet track ha ha ha

The start money, was exactually what it cost me to repair the bike
