    Speeding up the Jog?

I have read somewhere that it is possible to tweak the little Jog to increase the output / speed of the little beast!

My question to those of you in the know .... is what do you have to do ? What are the results ? And how much does it cost ?

Is Scootling .... the place to get the work done, or can any Yamaha dealer do the work ?

I'm in Whangarei, have a good Yamaha dealership here, but I haven't approached them yet to inquire if they can do the work.

My Jog is new, and has not yet had it's first service, as it's done just under 700km to date. Does that make any difference ? Should I wait for a certain mileage ?

Thanks for any input. I don't want to spend a heap on it, as it's just my commuter, but as I have a couple of decent hills and a 70km zone to travel through, I would like to be able to tweak it up a bit .... still get reasonable gas/mileage .. and not make it unreliable by modifying it. Is that achievable ??

    Thanks.

dont think any bike shops would be able to give it more power, its illegal for a moped to have more than 2kw, or go over 50kmhr

    You have a CV50 jog?

I would say buy some better transmission parts go to scooterling order a better clutch, variator kit, light weight rollers and a kevlar belt.
You wont sacrifice reliability and will get much better top end and better speed up hills
On the flat it should do about 70kmph.
However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

put a 75cc kit that has 49cc stamped on the out side

yes you can buy these and they have racing style porting on them

and no one will know unless they put it on a dyno to see how much power it really does have

Better not screw around with it until it's out of its warranty. After that, its time for a big fat exhaust pipe.

There is a guy who put up a few flickr photosets of the step by step process involved in replacing his CDI, exhaust, variator etc etc. Have a google, you're sure to find them.

    75cc kit + CV50 exhaust + Re-jet + high speed variator and clutch kit.

its just silly, drags off most cars, 100kph on the clock

    from a 3x jog
