Fucked a great piece of road now. Damn it.
Might have to move to Stratford. Good road from there.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
Two words "Paint stripper"
They did that to the manawatu gorge quite a while ago and wrecked an awesome piece of road
I love the idea of a different colour line for no passing with motor cycles being exempt, wont happen though
Shit thats ball hair..... spoil sports
What's so bad about this "penalise the many for the sake of the few" attitude is its not one I remember any of us voting on nor it being an election issue, so how come the roadies can just go and paint this stuff on? I suppose they'll tell me it was gazetted somewhere but even then I doubt there was ever a chance to object.
What a nanny state we live in and Finn's Prime Minister is letting this happen just like Finn's girlfriend Helen did.
The nice thing about dirt bikes is they don't paint yellow lines down gravel roads, but bugger they are sealing more and more of the roads and one day will there be a road rule that says its illegal to pass on the few gravel roads left which would be cheaper than using paint anyway.

We should drum up a petition to get a referendum to ask the question "Should allowing motorcyclists to cross yellow lines to pass vehicles as part of good vehicle driver correction be a criminal offence in New Zealand?"
How else can those drivers be taught a lesson and put in their place of knowing that they are too fricken slow?
Cheers

The standard responce is I thought he was waving me past.Honest mistake.
Is the area between the two yellow lines a motorcycle lane or what?
How about, ignore the yellow lines and use common sense and pass anyway. Just make sure you aren't passing a cop.
Just because there is this yellow thing there now doesn't mean it's no longer safe to pass there..
Civil disobedience has much to commend it.

I guess we'll just have to ride faster so our plates aren't so easy to read.
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
As it works on Paremata Road. However, I've found now that because the cagers feel "safer" on that road now there's double yellows all the way along they avoid Grays Road like the plague.
Many times I've gone to work in the morning via Grays Road and seen maybe two cars along the whole road.
Any idea if the passing lanes are affected by this? I guess they will if they're putting a 50km/hr restriction on the whole road.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Only place there will be no yellow lines soon is on the gravel but I bet they are working on that too!
National / Labour socialists just can't help playing "BIG GOVERNMENT", destroying freedom for the majority because of the misdemeanour's of a few!
New Zealand is fast becoming a socialist police state, government control of every bloody thing!
Ironic isn't it: The only difference between Clark and Key, is a real dick!![]()
I get your point, however there are two reasons I personally don't pass on yellow lines. Firstly it's against the law and usually for a good reason (in the case in point not, but still) and I'm a good girl. Secondly, people are sheep. My concern is that I see enough fuck knuckle wank nuts in cars overtaking on double yellows already without any of them seeing me on my bike doing it (as I can do it faster than they can and generally because we sit higher than the average car driver, and can see the road is clear) and thinking they can too and then wiping out an oncoming vehicle. Anyway, it's naughty.![]()
