Messing with scammers

Hehe. Anyone else still get these damn things? I used to get piles of them at one of my old workplaces, and I just don't appreciate these dishonest bastards trying to scam people out of their money, so I decided to set up a fake email account and name to mess with them if they write to me. Below is my first attempt at giving them the run-around:

His business associate on one of their business outings poisoned him to death.
When my mother died on the 21ST October 2000, my father took me so special because i am motherless.


Before the death of my father on the 29th November 2006 in a private hospital here in Abidjan, He sincerely called me on his bedside and told me that he had a sum of (Twleve million,Five hundred thousand United State Dollars. USD($12,500,000) kept in a security company here. He also said that the security company does not know the content of the Trunk Boxes. He also put my name in Depositing the 1 boxes as the beneficiary and next of kin.

He also explained to me that it was because of this wealth that he was poisoned by his business associates, That I should seek for a foreign partner in a country of my choice where I will transfer this money and use it for investment purposes and further my education, I want you to assist me in clearing this fund into your account overseas as a beneficiary of the fund, and also use it for an investment purpose, such as real estate management. My interested areas of investment are; REAL ESTATE, HOTELS, PETROLUM INDUSTRY & MINING, TRANSPORT or in any good investment you may advise me on. I am honorably seeking for your assistance in the following ways.

(1) To assist me to clear this fund from the security company and transfer to your account successfully.
(2To provide a bank account into which this money would be transfer into.
(3) To serve as the guardian of this fund since I am a student with no business experience.
(4) To make arrangement for me to come over to your country to further my Education

Moreover, I am willing to offer you 20% of the total sum as compensation for your effort /input after the successful transfer of this fund to your nominated
account. Furthermore, you can indicate your option towards assisting me, as I believe that this transaction would be concluded within 14 days, from the day you signify interest to assist me.

My brother! I cannot believe that you contacted me. I am so very grateful that you chose me. I would be delighted to help you and would embrace you as a brother to me. I mean, after all, your email must be completely legitimate, as no one ever tries to scam people this way, and even if people did I am certain it would never be a good, honest and upstanding citizen such as yourself.

I would like to ask more about this business opportunity before I proceed with it. I notice that one of your fields of investment is PETROLUM. Is that the same as petroleum? I have never heard of this particular substance before. What does petrolum do? Can I eat it or is it more like something I would use to clean my carpet? Or can it be used to clean out a persons lower intestine?

Or explaining to clients why there are limits on what material you can send to mates (or what gets sent to you). With no spam, my job would sure be easier

I was amazed at how much of this crap I used to get, also at the fact that there are people out there dumb enough to fall for this kind of thing.

You made a fundamental mistake in scamming a scammer..

Social scammers such as this one rely on the incredibly gulliable and/or stupid. You've shown too much knowledge.

They send this email to millions of people hoping to target just one person, and they'll choose that person carefully. You've failed the first test, they don't need to waste their time on you because they probably have roughly 1000 other responses.

Try acting stupid next time, don't make any requests, just go along with it.

I swear someone on KB did this a few months ago with interesting results.

It astounds me the amount of spam and scam emails whizzing around teh Interdweeb. At work 95% of email is illegitimate - can be up to 80,000 emails to be filtered out (I think that's per day, but I can't remember).

Yes, i have received a few. I replied with a snapshot of a black fuck getting beheaded, plus a few threats of killing more of his kind.. They never replied back..

All i get now are the 'Discover the reliable source of cheap and quality drugs'.. just can't help myself and have to click..
