I'm really enjoying this series.

I am thinking we are watching series one now, a repeat.

No Lewis was killed in the series (sorry if thats a spoiler). His wife was recently found guilty of something, think it may have been plotting a murder or trying to cover one up. Yes it is a great show. Season 1 will never be matched, watched it 3 times , season 2 isn't too bad but not as dramatic and hard hitting as the first. Both great stories though. Season 3 is supposedly already booked, not sure when its coming out though.

I cant put it down either, the way Jason Moran was murdered was shocking but effective, they dont fuck around.

I got them before it was allowed on telly. Not interested so never watched.

Season 1 was briliant!I was in Aussie when it was released on DVD,sold out on the day of it's release but was banned in the state of Victoria as the case was still before the courts.

Not sure if I'll buy season 2...judging by the comments on here it sounds inferior...but I could be swayed!

A friend from Melbourne told me the series screening now in N.Z was actually series 1 in Oz. We got series 2 first, probably because of N.Z's ties to the Mr Asia story.

underbelly is cool i watch every episode. accept last week when they shot that dude like 20 times and he still grabbed the shooter yelling fuck you (people tend to die after this), until he got shot in the head. the dude who raped dat chic

Incorrect. Season 1 is the melbourne gang story, something like 95-06. Season 2 is the Mr Asia story, late 70's to mid 80's. Season three is supposed to link the two, including (among other things) how the police force was cleaned up.

The only dramatic bit in season 2 was when that lawyer was thrown off the boat tied to the stove. Pretty horrible way to die, although that was fictionalised cause they don't know how he was knocked off.

Not quite, season 1 was aired early last year. Pretty much the same time as it was aired in auzzie. I don't think too many people watched it though (it was moved to quite late at night because of a lot of objections to the content!). But after the success of Mr Asia (most likely due to the obvious interests of NZ) they decided to replay season 1 again.
