only problem with sh16 is the leg from auckland to helensville

I just stick in 5th/6th and hold a steady 100. the only notable exceptions are the tight hairpin thing (currently entering at 70, exit at 80-90), a few blind crests that always scare me, and the twisties near the lookout. oh, and the 50k zones....

    no tickets and no dramas

If you're gonna go up 16 you may as well make the extra effort and go to Mangawhai! That road has a good flow to it, even if it is only about 15-20km.

Haven't been on SH22 in a long time, but last I heard the road service has been fairly shite lately.

Unfortunately I had work at 10am so missed the ride. Though I am one step closer to owning that TRX850 - fingers crossed aye!

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

    WTB circlip PST.

Called 4 bike shops lookin for one, then called past 2 hoping they'd be able to find something equivalent but no joy.

Morning of frustration, sounds like you guys had a good one anyway though.

Probably had more luck than me and the busa trying to catch up to jafa and the bandit.

He might have been able to, but my bike essentially has the same engine as teh bandit, only slightly untuned, so unless they were travelling slow no chance of catching up

Also, the pic, OM NOM NOM my tank

Isn't the bandit the detuned one, I think the across' are at 45ps from factory...

ital916 - I got my numbers wrong when we were talking about it the other night, 33kW, not hp.
