No more power with this bike than at the Nationals, newly developed rear shock spec has contributed to more grip and therefore drive off the turns.

Also new fork settings / techniques in the Hondas, Strouds Suzuki and Sketchy juniors Suzuki. Not available yet as general production and in NZ only available to loyal CKT customers.

Just a little proud note from a Dad check out whose bike is in the same garage, hope some of the Stroud magic rubbed off on him
You have every right to be VERY proud of your son, not only does he have talent in abundance but he also has good manners in spades. It is an honour to be helping him.

Stroudy was running standard gearing and using 4 gears - typical of him!

which also kept his wheel base very short, and was not able to set the geometery as he may have wanted the bike to be, but very impressive, for his first time out since the nationals and first time on the 09 bike, and his mechanic did a brilliant job

Would doing this break the rules for next year concerning privateers? Would this mean loyal customers are factory supported? I think the privateer rule is very vague - I consider Honda the only factory team as other teams purchase their bikes even though probably discounted. Have the privateer rules been clarified yet?

Ohlin's race tech gear is not a part of the privateer rule! That relates to full support from Honda or Suzuki bla bla

Aftermarket product is availlable to any one, if you have a contract for it from who ever

Twas a fun weekend, andy only got the bike late tues and we have to import new sprockets so a little limited in gearing choices for the weekend. Main aim was to get a feel for what is a totally new package and the win in the last was a bonus. Big thanks to Shaun for providing the garage, as to scrivy's comments lets just remember this is coming from a man who wont venture onto the track without someone cuddling him and groping his arse all the way round.

To be sure, and he is not a spent force yet !!! ( and I always refer to him as "Andrew Stroud 7 times NZ champ" )

And you can be proud, Glen seems to be a fine young man ( and a talented racer ).

What ever those springs were you put in my forks were so good RT! It felt like i had as much grip with my superstock tyres as i do with the slicks, cant wait to use them in my Andrew bike! Might have to put a set aside for that bike too
