I've ridden the 696 monster, 1098 superbike and the street fighter. The big boys were awesome but the one that surprised me most was the 696. Blardy rapid for a little bike.

As soon as the bank would possibly let me borrow up to my eyeballs again a spankers new street fighter will be shoved in next to my dear ol 2 valve ss. Or if not to my eyeballs the lil monster is very tempting, have you ridden one?

It is one of the bikes on my wish list....
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

It was on my list in Big bold letters..right at the top, until I looked at a few and sat on a few....For me I only found two drawbacks of any consequence....The riding stance wat too agressive for comfy long rides (even with slightly raised bars) and could not work out any reasonable luggage attachment.

    Other than that....Bonzer bike!

I will stick with the last of the great Monsters....

If you want a good laugh and thrill, take the Hypermotard out. Good fun machine.

No offence, but the Duc is in a different owner league than the GSXR. I am talking maintenance and running costs, not purchase price.

I agree with your comments about being great bikes and I have seen what that 1098 unit can do.

For its class, it would be top of my list following a Lotto win

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Yeah I'm trying to talk Motomart into handing over the keys to one at some stage.
