To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Pink was Bob Geldoff ( In know he was NOT a member) but fact remains- the role was offered him, written for him- and the Movie versions of In The Flesh remain as my personal BG favourites of all time
Pink was a fictional character for the sake of the rock operah- The Wall- he was based on the lamentations of Roger waters- who grew up without a dad because he was killed in the war-
Mr Waters could not drop this theme- sadly the Final Cut was more of the same bullshit and the rest of the band had enough and binned him- fair enough too I say (been into Pink Floyd since I was 6 years old) and was glad to see him go after the Final Cut
Just ride.
I bought a couple of their albums over the years but never had a clue who they were or what they looked like, a deliberate policy it would appear, as in they shunned the lime light on purpose. Yes very good doco and great to see so much video has survived from the early days, well worth a watch if you've ever been interested in their music.
Oh bugger
This a great piss take at Roger Waters from 'Division Bell'.
I personally loved the Final Cut. His first solo Album was very similar & almost as good IMHO (The Pro's & Con's of Hitchiking). His 2nd album "Radio Kaos" wasn't anything too special.
But agreed Roger was a little over the top with the loss of his father/childhood
Same one
Also have the Syd Barrett story, equally as good, but again im a little biasBy the age of 16 I had 20 PF tapes & went to the concert at Western Springs that same year, have always been a huge fan, always will be. David Gilmours playing just gets better & better, simply increadible to watch/hear
