To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. You’re dammed if you do and you’re dammed if you don’t… Bartholomew J. Simpson
Bit of a story but have been trying to buy one for so long now, saw it on trade me, the guy was getting silly offers for it, as he did state it did not go.
I went to see it and told him the battery was stuffed; jump started it and let him know the clutch was slipping; all this was obvious and correct.
Others told him the engine was toasted and could not get it going (or did not want to try); he rang me and offered to me for what I said it was worth to me on the day.
My lesson learnt here was to me totally honest, show my cards and let him make an informed decision.
So I will need to replace battery and clutch, it is in less than perfect condition but to worth the monies I paid.

hehe, yeah I have had that very statement before.
I am planning on restoring it, back to its former glory.
I have been playing/ learning the restoration process with other bikes so when I finally got the H1 I could do it properly.
I am slowly collecting the parts/ items, like bearings and seals I will need, so when I do start it I should not have any delays, I am planning on it being a winter project.
I am unloading an unfinished project (GSX400r) this Thursday to make room for this project.
I want to photo my way through it as well.
