Hard to see kids suffering. If there was an easy solution it would've been adopted by now.

I suppose individually we're all pretty powerless so our response has to be more fundamental, long-term, and close to home. So, just be glad you're not one of those in poverty, respect this beautiful country we're lucky enough to live in, take care of your family and when you can, do something for someone else for no reason other than to help them out.

That's about all you can do.

WTF is this doing in GBR?

That aside, the only problem in the poor countries is that the western world has introduced AK-47s, Coca-Cola, Reality TV, etc. as part of the big exploitation project that has run for well over 200 years.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

It is amazing how they are so keen on continuing their suffering eternally.

I know the screwed up state of the world, how little we can do about it, and giving money to organisations - who knows what the money is being used for

But if you were doing something that was having a devastating effect on another persons life, and it cost you nothing to stop doing that - why not

Our dairy industry is supporting wealthy dictatorships that steal from those who can't defend themselves and are now in poverty

Just like a change in behavior lately by normal consumers like you and me - forced Cadburys to back down and stop using palm oil

The more people who express their opinion the better, it's not a hopeless situation
In the past decade positive action has halved the number of people in extreme poverty

I wasn't trying to call you out or anything, I was just wondering if you were one of these people that either tries to discount that with some excuse or admit it, or not realize it.
