    Wife.

Does anyone have the owners manual for a wife?

Mine's emitting a terrible whining noise.

I believe your unit is functioning correctly.
Any remedy will be extremely temporary and can mean more trouble when reverting to current state.

    "A terrible whining noise"?
That's a sure sign that the chocolate/wine levels have dropped below the recommended minimum. Top those up, and all will be fine.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Or a trade in !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

If they are low, check for leaks. Pointless topping it up with expensive chocolate and wine, if you're just going to have to repeat the exercise in a few days' time.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Excellent point. I can see you earned that 'A Grade' certificate.

So todays lesson is that the whining noise is not always terminal?
I'd be more worried about an intermittent bottom end rumble!
