Was A Really nice ride. As you said the snow was well off the road. The ice grit was very heavy in places, for obvious reasons, but it makes for carful riding as it is hard to see. Mr W gathered a lot up on the gixxer as I changed lanes and had to back off.
Meet a really nice couple at Tarawera as we sat and had tea. Been to the Cold Kiwi and they are from down South.

That’s the end of the pilot sport. 4100km. What a useless tyre. Bring on the pilot road two next week. Hmmm maybe it is da Mooo sitting on the back that is the problem. Bring on the new week and get some more docking done.

Cheers all and have a great week at work…………………..

It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Not got the penny's for that just yet, gave it a blood transfusion and filter, rear brake pads, front pads, sprockets and chain next month just wondering if I should alter the gearing.

I did chain and sprockets on my duke, had a 17/41 on it, standard is 17/39. i rode a mates one that was 17/39 and it felt ok so i went and replaced and went with the standard gearing. after a few rides i wished i had left the lower gearing. No change in top end speed , just wheel stands easier(on a closed private road of course)
Dont know or care what it did to the fuel economy ,

Another nice ride today. Cheers Rob, Cindy/Dale/Yanis.

Finally got to give the new Pilot Power 2s a run in on the Ducati.
Was meant to be yesterday but as usual Italian electrics put paid to that before even leaving!
Fortunately can jump on another steed when that happens.

Very impressed with the Power 2s. Always had Road 2s on the Duc.
Have Power 2s on the Daytona and get a few slides but today gave the Ducati a hard nudge thru Middle Rd, prob one of the quickest I've ridden it, and no hint of sliding and exceptional grip. Pressures 32/34.
I guess the payoff will be fuckall mileage out of them but who cares.......

If you want to to do a sprocket change then -1 on the front is probably all you need. You will pull just few more revs which help to get you in to the power a bit sooner and you can be lazy with gear changes.. The down fall is that you put more miles on the speedo unless you you put a speedo healer on. Front spocket is about $30.00 Speedo healer $188.00 plus postage approx ex aussie

Was a gentile cruise. The power 2s are good. The Harley riders would of been impressed when we went passed them. In fact would of been nice if they had a video when i went passed.

Thanks for that Rob. My bike is old and speedo driven off front wheel so sprocket change would not apply any way I think I will leave as is as Jase said.

Stormy - bellypan just gone to Touch-up. Forgot the blurb...'riding the storm' was it?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
