    I thought I was a Ducatista...

But now I'm not so sure

Saw the Streetfighter in the flesh for the first time

And I have to say that it leaves me absolutely cold

Doesn't push any buttons at all - unlike say the Triumph Street Triple

And the new Monsters are crap compared ti the originals

Thank goodness for the 1098 and 848...

This thread is useless without pics (or something like that)
Cats land on their feet. Toast lands jamside down.
A cat glued to some jam toast will hover in quantum indecision

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.

That manic "Ducati Grin" is a well known and documented phenomena

But for me the Streetfighter is just another entry in the "Ugly Ducati" list

Don't get me wrong. I like it, i'd have it over my Hornet in a heartbeat (goes without saying really)

Definitely the pipes are a first mod, probably most peoples first mod anyway so there's that sorted!

Yeah I am hoping to get that very manic "Ducati Grin" on my dial this Saturady when I take the Monster 696+ for a ride.

Just saw that comment, and yes I am a bit slow on it today.

    Why for you say that?

I actually quite like the look of the new Streetfighter, it's one of the few new naked bikes I could see myself owning. Maybe that's just 'cos it sounds like it goes pretty hard. I dunno, it's just a bit more interesting than the faux retro look of so many naked bikes.

But, I'm not a big fan of the new monster. Sure the old one was getting a lil' dated (except the very tasty S4RS) but the new 'un just leaves me cold with those not high-not low ugly assed can's.

The cans are butt fugly alright, but with a bit of a tail tidy and a Termignoni Carbon Fiber exhaust kit, or the likes... sexyfarkentime!

Share your opinons on the last and only real Monster....

Streetfighter works for me in all but 2 aspects,
Even with raised bars I cannot imagine 1000km days.
Touring luggage attachment looks a problem...
Save for that I would likely have one already....
