Good Vid Marcus, comon admit it, its fun passing those other riders.
If im not mistaken it looked like there was a Yellow 1098 there kewl.

Nice to finally see Puke from the racer perspective, hope to have a blat around her one day.

its fun and scary at the same time...this video doesn't show anything bad but there was some very interesting line changes down the back straight when I was pinned.....and yes there was a yellow 1098 out there and he binned it from memory...dOH! Also, did you notice I hit top gear before the kink in the back straight....I had the Taupo/Manfeild gearing on my bike and couldn't be arsed changing it so it was way too low gearing....poor wee bike was bouncing off the rev limiter for a good 3-4 seconds down the back...hehehe

Awesome vid and yes it was scary all day with many road riders out there ! However still more fun than having the whole track to myself (like last time)

In the last session of the day there were only 5 bikes left including Gav and myself. Much more of proper comparative ride ... let's see what happens this week ...

Like Darrin said looking forward to trying the track !!! Nice vid mate, loved the soundtrack even if i don't buy albums !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Speaking of gearing im changing from a 16/47 to a 15/46 which should make it more easier to keep my bike in the power range and make me go even faster MUHAHHAHAHAAAAA.
My forks have just come back from Robert with a new mod God bless him round five should be fun.

    And I do...still.

I have never said that PB!? ...I have said I don't WANT to 'race' there (even though once again I have never said "I would never") because its a shithole...this was an open day and I was riding like it was a road....slow! As you know, when you race you push your limits near to 100% and a mistake is a possibility resulting in a crash...this gives you a pretty good chance on hitting a wall at Pukekohe...ask Frank! When your at an open day there is no point pushing anywhere near 100% so its safer (despite dodgy riders there too)...Its ONLY a safer situation because I make it that way....the track is still a accident waiting to happen in races!

Sorry - wouldn't know.....not being a racer or even milding interested in being a racer (I'll stick to being a flaggy)....Must have read some of your posts incorrectly - as with all the people who have green blinged me over my post, however I do find it milding interesting that in essence your are promoting a track you have no interest in nor respect for.

Mind you, no point in getting into a bitch session over it...some people love it some people hate it - each to their own, perhaps though you should stick to posting vids on tracks you do actually want your frienemies to ride at....

This vid just seems to contradict your vocal stance on Puke as a track.

ummm....no...for the record...Your completely right in your thoughts on me thinking Pukekohe is a shithole...thats pretty clear as you have correctly read in my previous post's. Regarding promoting Pukekohe in my video, have another look at it and see if you can figure out what I'm actually promoting Also, regarding my 'respect' for Pukekohe....I have immense respect for it and that is why I have not crashed there...I value my life too much

Fair enough I've no interest in 'getting into a bitch session' about it, but you raised the question so I am answering. Even those that love it would agree it is one of the least safe tracks in New Zealand (apart from street races of course but they are in a different class as they are not a purpose built facility, merely a street transformed into a racing event)

huh? Why and what are you refering to with 'frienemies'?

Completely can not see your point here at all. Just because I rode there at an open day does not lend any credence to my opinions on it as a race venue...that makes as much sense as saying I would never go out to a party because the music was not to my taste. I can be places and do things that are not my favorite things to do or places to be. I have a race bike and unfortunately Pukekohe is the only legal place for me to ride my bike in Auckland at the moment...this does in no way change anything as far as what I think of the place and its safety. FYI Everytime I came to head over the hill onto the front straight I remembered Frank in his eggshell (back brace) sitting on his couch at home...thats respect right there!
