I'm new to biking so haven't had a chance for anything bike related to go missing (apart from a misplaced jersey that I left where I park my bike).

My parents have been burgled 4-5 times up north though. A couple of times we got completely cleaned out and a couple of times just tools really, although once they raided our chest freezer and took a few hundred kgs of home kill.

We had a Japanese guy staying with us once who had just arrived and had left his rucksack on the pack rack of his bike. He went for a walk to find my parents and his pack was stolen while parked in our carport which is down a 100m driveway through bush at the end of a gravel road 2km from SH1 in the middle of the sticks. We found a trail of stuff (including the guys passport!) dropped in a field nearby, the guy was ransacking the guys pack and dropping everything that wasn't valuable (clothes etc.) as he made his way back to the main road. Pretty crazy.

Edit: My dad had a car stolen, thrashed to death and dumped as well

Yeah, two days of listening to my old man complain and they were willing to offer a reward for his retrieval...

Had a coupla push bikes nicked when I was a kid. Caught a 14yr old little shit trying to get into my car (wallet on seat) about 10years ago, he got a solid clip round the ear.

Lately some muppet pinched the garden hose off my front lawn What kind of fucked up childhood do you need to experience that makes you steal garden hoses?

i havn't had anything motorcycle related stolen but have had my car stolen from my driveway while i was moving house. That car was my pride and joy to and 3 days later cops rang to say they had recovered my car but it was burnt out.

10 years ago my partner was spilled across the fwy. As I was heading to hospital, I passed the harley being unceremoniously dragged sideways up the back of a flatbed towy. That scene was shite enough but it was on the damaged side. I remember thinking that the airfilter/carby & batterycover all look OK. (was a sweet looking shovel).
But low & behold, when I get to the wreckers/tow yard - said original HD battery cover has disappeared. Bastards!

My folks place was robbed 4 times. 2 times just days before xmas. 1 defication. 3 times while cops lived next door.

Got ripped off when I bought my triumph

Had a pair of gloves nicked once on the ferry.
Had my heart nicked once, but got it back.
    Think thats about it.
Was broken into once, but got everything back (if you know what I mean).

...Um! Had a similar thing continually happen to my vegetation watering device. But it was usually just a section of the hose they stole...in the middle, too.
But I solved that problem by hanging a little bucket of hose off-cuts, in a tree by the pavement.

had my XR350 stolen twice back in the 80s/90s. First time it was stolen from outside parents place (I didn't lock it). Got a call a few weeks later from the cops to come & pick it up. They caught some dickhead riding it at night with no lights. They had wrecked it a fair bit. I fixed her up & it got stolen a few years later from a locked garage. Cops caught em again (for speeding initially). Turned out to be someone i knew (a mate of a mate), so we had to pay him a wee visit.

I'm sure someone keeps nicking my petrol from the tank. Go for a ride and the tank is empty.

I keep a good lookout to catch the thieving bugger, but every time at the end of a ride... bloody gone!

Fill the tank. Same thing happens when I get home.

    Weird.
