I have not been on the ATNR for quite a while however I am hoping to tag along this evening. If the route is the old usual one - then I know where to go so I'd be happy to cruise along and you can follow me. Unfortunately, if the route is a different one then you will be dependent upon the TEC (Tail End Charlie) waiting for you to catch up at various intersections etc.

The old route can be quite twisty in sections and if you are not confident riding at night then I would suggest avoiding this ride until daylight savings starts as many sections of the road have no street lighting at all.

    Just my two bits worth!

    mighty fine advice.

Thanks for the info, in this case it sounds like I'm better to wait till I get my restricted and just hang out at NASS.

Yeah well we all love and respect the coppers on KB, 'specially SGT Ginga in Hazzard county.

If you aren't just taking the piss and are serious about wanting to be a copper, then you are an idiot for riding outside of your license conditions.

You get pulled over once and it's bye bye police career.

Worse still the only excuse you have is laziness - get off your arse and go and sit your restricted.

Not true! Do you really think that all cops are straight shooters? There's a big difference between getting a breach of licence conditions and having a serious criminal record.

I have a mate who was pulled over in taupo for some outright dangerous driving.
Said mate asked the cop whether it would harm his chances of getting into the police force, cop let him go
