Buggered if I know why you were so worried about removing weight on the FXR? I mean you were carrying around 50kg less than me to start with

because the front fairing on the fxr is pig ungly...

and thats why im not worried about stripping the cbr down{and because im too scared}....most people i race are at least 30kg heavier than me...and you cant strip that off a bike very easyily

That unfolded about six feet in front of me, not something I'm in that much of a hurry to see again.

I was first on the scene as I was nearby taking photos. Barry (no.47) it seems slid off but was then hit hard in the neck/shoulder by the following bike that could not avoid him. I set the camera down, took no photos, but tried to help. Here is Barry going well before the accident:

Good question . My bro' took the photos of me on the Saturday practice but he is usually doing a mini-motocross event with his kids on race day. I caught the "disease" before you were a twinkle in your mother's eye!

My bro' in ChCh says it has rust issues from Greymouth salt sea air, including pitting on front forks. What ya think?

that bike is abit expensive for an fxr150 isnt it?? {for a bucket racer anyway} considering you'll have to spend another $500 setting it up....

Yes, Max, I agree it is a bit expensive. It is a 2003 model and has low mileage which helps. There just are not many FXR's available right now. My bro' got that rather nice little CB125 for about $700 (the no. 41 that I had a ride on - as in the profile photo). I don't see many good deals like that around. I would also have to fly to ChCh and ride the FXR back which adds to the cost. Any advice will be much appreciated including contacts for bikes for sale. I don't want to buy a problem bike though - you know how annoying it is when the thing won't start!
