because the front fairing on the fxr is pig ungly...

and thats why im not worried about stripping the cbr down{and because im too scared}....most people i race are at least 30kg heavier than me...and you cant strip that off a bike very easyily

I want to contact Tim F about his bike (FXR150). I'm keen to buy one. Does he use this forum? Anyone have his contact details?

    Accident

I was first on the scene as I was nearby taking photos. Barry (no.47) it seems slid off but was then hit hard in the neck/shoulder by the following bike that could not avoid him. I set the camera down, took no photos, but tried to help. Here is Barry going well before the accident:

I'm surprised he was not in a serious condition. He's a tough guy. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Good question . My bro' took the photos of me on the Saturday practice but he is usually doing a mini-motocross event with his kids on race day. I caught the "disease" before you were a twinkle in your mother's eye!
Here is a real oldie of me at Brands Hatch on an RD350YPVS twin 2-smoke Yammy:

I'm no. 56 in about 3rd place. Nowadays that's my age! I've been into photography and bike racing for over 30 years.

I'll need to coach another aspiring photographer to use my photo gear, maybe?

I'm sure something can be worked out bring some leathers and your camera gear ride the B grade and shoot the A grade

come try my smoker out and see if it compares with that old yamaha ???
( I'm sure it will be twice as much fun and exciting just look at your pics. how close did you get to others on the track on the yamaha)

I'll be riding B grade for sure. Absolutely keen to try any smoker! Grant (no. 82 on FXR) gave me a quick ride on his at Mt Wellington. I liked it (many thanks Grant - and download of large photos to you .

Can certainly take photos when not riding. Which bike/number were you last weekend? I'm itching to buy a bike right now. Can't wait till next meeting. Might buy this one on trademe:

My bro' in ChCh says it has rust issues from Greymouth salt sea air, including pitting on front forks. What ya think?

that bike is abit expensive for an fxr150 isnt it?? {for a bucket racer anyway} considering you'll have to spend another $500 setting it up....

Theres decent fxr's on trade-me for $2000 save yourself $800

Yes, Max, I agree it is a bit expensive. It is a 2003 model and has low mileage which helps. There just are not many FXR's available right now. My bro' got that rather nice little CB125 for about $700 (the no. 41 that I had a ride on - as in the profile photo). I don't see many good deals like that around. I would also have to fly to ChCh and ride the FXR back which adds to the cost. Any advice will be much appreciated including contacts for bikes for sale. I don't want to buy a problem bike though - you know how annoying it is when the thing won't start!
