My new baby finally showed up!

Wicked, at long last I can get back into it!
I have already called a mate and he put 500km on it for me yesterday.
Tomorrow I will begin the transformation to race bike!
    Do weekends get any better??????

Oh boy, I would so like a "new" bike. Oh well, a few more years to come.

Why did you go for ther 600 rather than the 1000?

And what are you planning on changing first?

    You are riding a 'motorcyclette'

Nice one. Isn't it just the same as your old one though?

Well I thought long and hard about switching to a thou, but I had some awesome races last year and finally started pushing it round the way I have wanted to for a while. I love the 600's, they are a bit more even than the thou's and more in the class always helps.
I started stripping it down tonight. first things will be my nice shiney exhaust system (see pics) and air filter, as well as doing the basic race prep things like catch bottles, handle bars, rear sets engine covers etc.
I am sending my suspenders up to Mr Taylor on monday and he will go to town on them.
Engine work will come later on, a bit closer to the nats.

Ha I like that, I always tell people I race chicks bikes lol.
Chassis is the same, engine is slightly different. Different head/port design, different pistons. overall more torque.
I heard a rumor they polished the ports like the old ZXR600's but will find that out tomorrow when it all comes off.

    Nice one.

That'd be why all those parts (bar the nice shiney (Kawasaki...?) Akrapovic) look like they have seen race action already. Mind you, they don't look very 'race hardened' (IE crash damaged). Would you like me to give you some lessons Jeremy?

Well I can now say that Honda has polished the intake ports! Not quite as radically as the ZX6RR a few years back but a very tidy job none the less!

So much work to do, so little time!

EDIT: The exhaust sounds awesome! can't wait to hear it at full song!

No, only 500kms in road trim before it is stripped down.
Bike engines are pretty durable, I have heard stories that before they leave the factory that they are held on the limiter for a period of time, if they are gonna go at anytime, this would be the oppertune moment!

    Calm down.

    Don't get too excited.

    It's just a dream.

You'll be back to you GN250 when you wake up.

    Good luck with the dissapointment!
    (she's a beauty, many congrats)

Living the dream there mate. I can only imagine the amount of work and expense involved in starting from scratch with a new bike. It must be pretty satisfying though. Good luck.
