    Question Wellington Celebrants?

Anyone know a good celebrant for marriage in Wellington?

It's not a fancypants ceremony, we just want someone who is prepared to leave "religion and spirituality" at the door. I've found a few from www.celebrants.co.nz but was wondering if anyone had any personal input to good, or bad choices and what I should be looking out for.

My Aunty Helen is great, I have sent her an email for people she knows ... and also asked if she still does it.

Kerry Prendergast worked ok for us...not that we had a choice but we she was happy to drop the religion and sprirituality stuff out of it.

Totally missed that you were back in Wtown - welcome back would you still have returned if you realised the Takas were going to be double yellowed?

    TBH, Predgergast scares me.

Been back for about 4 months, been somewhat lacklustre with KB due to having inconsistant access to a PC. Rides have also taken a back seat till the house is done. I should think about joining the "Massif" soon though.

Thanks for the tip Nasty, i'll flick her an e-mail in the next few days.

I know 1 really well - my aunty. She will make a completely personalised ceremony for you and your betrothed. http://www.pinkyagnew.com/ She would also know others in Wellington too.

But I would think unless you have a religious person as your celebrant, i.e. a priest, most celebrants would create a ceremony with the things you want.

Mate got it sorted at the Registry office with his missus 8 months pregnant with number 3 this Friday just gone.

He got proper tanked before he went there too.

Cheers, she was one of the first I sent an e-mail to, i'm yet to hear back from her. Her satirical work was spot on with Shipley.

She's overseas at the moment so it may be a few more weeks before she replies.

Yep she did an awesome job eh.

    We had Brian Ross (http://www.celebrant.co.nz/listing.php?id=129).
Really great dude, no religion necessary (ours wasn't).
One of the cool things he did was get us to face ourselves and he stood to the side as what he said was "people came to see you two, not me !!".

    Thoroughly recommend him.
