    Post a picture?
    Can't.
Well... I can, but probably won't, as the only picture I have is a B+W photo of it after I wrote it off. Not a pretty sight.

Well... mine had an XR500 donk in it, so it wasn't Egg Zachary a CB250RS; more like an XBR500RS.

    I had a '74 Elsinore too! The 250 though.

    EDIT:
What the heck; I may not have a nice pic of my CB175, but it looked pretty much like this before I fukted it.
173cc, SOHC, twin carbs, points ignition, 5-speed gearbox, drum brakes, but a lot of fun.

Here's a list and piccys of the entire fleet, going right back to the dark ages.

With the exception of the TGB and the CZ, which for some reason I havent added.

So, yours would do more than 60kph into a head wind?

    What do you think?
It didn't have a very impressive top speed, as it was fairly low geared, but made up for that with pretty good wheelies.

I think I've owned WAY too few bikes over the last 35 years.
I've missed out on so much fun.

I guess it's a bit late now to try to make up for it.

My first bike back in 1982 was a 1980 CR80R Elsinore.
Bit of a weapon for a 12 year old not used to nasty powerbands. The amount of times I crashed.......

Quite different to the 200 "Electric" that preceded it. My friend's brother had one, and it was a trendy (for the '70s) purple paintjob, with a rounder tank than that, and one of those friction steering dampers atop the triple clamps.

I reckon in some ways the 500 singles would have been better off without those. My XBR500Rs was for some reason (lack of space under the tank??) missing the decompression lever, but was easy enough to start: fold up the RH footpeg, kick it over to TDC, then give it a kick. Started first or second time, every time, with no wrecking of shin or spraining of ankle.
There was a trend for a while in '75 or thereabouts to fit a decompression release to the spare sparkplug hole of two-stroke dirtbikes, to give them some engine braking. Made a sound like a chicken when the lever was pulled.
