So, you have a thing for ugly bikes?
Did you ever own a Ural, or one of those commuter bikes with the fully enclosed chain?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Bet you wish you'd kept it.

I haven't got a pic handy of my first bike but it was one of these, '51 BSA B31 350.

There are some interesting rides there...I believe you always have a love of your first bike. I would love to get my hands on a Z200 again just for nostalgia sake.

First bikes from 50 cc to 750 cc's, heck Drunken Monkey...what a bike to start on!!!:

It was the bike that got me riding....then put me off bikes.....the got me riding again.
Great bike - I wish i could buy another for the commute now.

Years back in an aussie bike mag they did an article about how you should "Lie, cheat and steal" to buy a TS185 to learn to ride on. One of the best articles ever

    Kawasaki G5 (100cc).
I met my wife riding this bike. Well to be honest I was at the bottom of a hill trying to kick start it and failing. She watched and felt sorry for me.

My 1st road bike was the same but my one was a silver with blue pin-stripe 76 model, even paid the same price for my one.

My 1st bike of my own was a YZ80.

Mine was the 1953 - this is 1952. Pretty much the same mind you.

Solid iron, heavy as lead. Needed a crane to pick up when ya fell off it...which I did a few times.

Raced it at Ruapuna in the first ever one hour endurance race. Finished third in the 350cc class believe it or not...probably because the brakes faded out totally and I couldn't slow down even when I wanted to...

was a great bike till I traded on a 175. Dealer was pissed as when he serviced it he found part of the main bearing race in the sump. I genuinely didnt know
