Ladies perspective on biker chicks!

Anyway, I have to ask you what your going to upgrade to?Its a massive decision and I have become obsessed reading reviews and asking others advice.

Asking others advice is all very well but personally the only advice I would be taking on board are things relating to parts availability, servicing schedule and that sort of thing...and it pays to take that advice from people who actually OWN the model bike that you are enquiring about...

Hey this is just my personal take on the matter...I have formed my opinions about bikes by taking them for demo rides...Riding it is the only way to find out if its 'you' . When you ride the right bike you will know it

And another opinion of mine is that the bike doesn't have to tick every single box... for example I LOVE the Buell CR that I have recently bought BUT it is too tall for me. The other day I was parked on a slight slope and wasn't able to reach the stand...friggin annoying and somewhat embarassing...luckily my mate rode up beside me and kicked it up for me LOL.

ditto ditto ditto thats why I tend to ride with a small group of riding buddies who all have a similar style...I'm the only one without a radar detector so tend to ride in the middle. And the lead bike usually sets a cracking pace but he is consistant, NOT erratic and we all give each other plenty of room, none of this riding up each others dates crap...god I hate that LOL.

i SOOOO wanna upgrade to an R6 or R1, but havn't gotten my full yet. My hubby reckons that i would freak at even getting on a bigger bike and wouldn't b able to handle it. but i'll prove him wrong yet! I'v always pillioned on bigger bikes before i got my lil baby, and i could feel the difference. I'm gunna be having some fun with a 2 stroke soon hopefully, which will get me used to a twitchy bike.
he just reckons i can't because i'v dropped my 250 so many times and had 1 accident on it, but that was in my first 6 months of riding. I got my restricted now, been riding for nearly a year and havn't had any mishaps since my first accident! I definatly think i can do it, hell if a woman can handle an R1, i could definatly handle an R6 wen i get my full!

It's hard to get used to that, but if you do it's good fun.

No one is going to ram you, just like you aren't going to erratically brake really hard and swerve into their path.

With you there. There's really no need for it and it's just dangerous. I've ridden with people that felt the need to ride so close to me that I actually couldn't see them in my mirrors and wondered where they had gone until I did a head check and saw them almost beside me. Bad form. Surfice to say I have never ridden with them again. I don't need an escort and if you like me that much how about you buy me a coffee when we stop!

I've ridden with those same "people" in defence of the one that springs to mind in that one situation that springs to mind - they thought they were acting as a shield to keep you safe from the mad arse Boy racer in the left lane sizing up to cut you off But yeah give me some space please - I find group rides (except with those I do ride with) always involve too many muppets out to prove a point - the point they prove is that group rides with unskilled overconfident tossers in the mix are no fun.

BTW - I find like all things there are some biker chicks that are snobby bitches and some are the coolest most rad chicks ever...thankfully I know more of the latter and only really a couple of the former.

Oh, I don't recall that, probably wasn't the worst case of exhaust riding I've encountered then (you'll have to remind me who and when that was) or I was probably completely oblivious to the whole thing knowing me

Ok each to their own but in my opinion...and personal experience...when you are riding "up the date" (as I put it) of the bike in front of ya then when it unexpectedly turns to custard you've got NOWHERE to go.

BTW...can't remember if I said this earlier in the thread so here goes. I regularly ride with a really good friend who rides a HD Sporty. She is scraping on every corner LOL. Ok, so our rides together are a bit slower than when I'm out with my sport bike mates but I still have a bloody enjoyable time riding with her cos she does it with ATTITUDE!!

I was riding with the SMC guys through the suburbs and after a two lane roundabout the lanes merged and a car tried to shove past me. My boyfriend zipped past and fully stopped in front of the car to let us all go through. Haven't been on a long, proper ride with them yet...oh wait, I came back from Kaiaua with gi joe, motorbyclist and PirateJafa one time. Good fun!

in all honesty, ive never really looked around to see reactions from other people when i get off the bike. really couldnt care less. im past being the subject of attention, good or bad. due to high school bullying, i tend to take things as a negative. though i must admit the attention the kea gave me was rather flattering. lol.
one reaction i can remember was the drunk leaning in the door of the TAB who watched me get off the bike, remove helmet etc and then asked me if i rode the bike. i told him i pulled it out of my pocket. lmfao.
the kids at work [kids being aged 15 and older] think i ride a harley and have tattoos all over my legs. im not gonna bother correcting them.
