The AMCC did not decide to stop the racing. I did. I was the Steward of the meeting. I consulted several riders, including the riders rep, and we inspected the circuit, but the ultimate decision was mine. Do not blame the club, they still have to pay the track hire, Marshalls lunches, Paramedic Ambulance, Gate Keepers, people to put the crash bales out and take them back in etc etc.
My decision was made on the grounds that there was too much water pooling in places on the circuit creating a very dangerous situation for competitors. This is caused by the state of the seal at Pukekohe.
One of my jobs is the safety of riders and I take this responsibility very seriously. If you want to take someone to task, blame me, not AMCC.

I don't want to make this into a big political statement or anything but I don't enjoy Puke enough to outweigh the huge risks of racing there. This softcock is happy enough to marshall and assist up there though.
