Get someone to hold a 30 cm ruler, between your thumb and index finger. they randomly drop it, and you have to catch it. the quicker you catch it and smaller the cm reading.. or something like that... some science thing we did at school many years ago

Try ringing an insurance company to say their insured kicked your bike over and see how far you get? Much easier to say the fuckwit reversed over your bike. Whether they saw the bike or not is irrelevant.... they're still at fault.

No guys violence is not the answer, beating the man up is not going to fix the bike. You should of talked to him and asked why he kicked the bike over, you can resolve the situation by communication. If you were to be violent and brutally injure the man how does that make you any better of a man?
