hi scorry, we dont know how good these Aussies are, 4 of the 5 are on 450s, they may just be club racers who have some spare cash to get here and have some fun

Joel Reed was doin' well for a first timer. Great to see him comin' back and it says a lot about the series.

Hey quick question about manfield, what section is the short course e.g. what section will the motards be racing?

I havent been there before and im wondering if it is the small section way over the back or the other bit and the bigger bikes combine both sections?
    cheers
    Bring on the weekend

    Hi Mate,
pit with me I'm an old hand (well I'm old and I've done it once before ). Scrutineering is on Xmas day, or EARLY boxing day "by special arrangement" If you can get hold of a generator bring it. I have a generator (5 HP 2500w) but not sure if it will run two sets of tyre warmers (if it only runs one set do you want warm the front or the rear ? ) I'm pretty sure it will cope I have tested it with one set of warmers and the electric jug
I am going up xmas day sign in scrutineering etc. and set up pit and sleep in the van.

I don't have an pit tent but I do have a couple of sun umbrella's .

Bring sunblock and speights old dark

It is a very cool meeting, I did it last year on the Hornet, pretty much only used 2nd gear ( about 50 -100 meters of 3rd on start-finish straight maybe ) It looks much scarier from the side of the track. It is pretty much point and squirt and the option to run straight ahead at the four main turns. The s's throught the cemetary are a bit interesting as even the Hornet got the front end in the air crossing the crown of the road and the bridge over the railway line is a bit scary looking, just be like me and don't go to fast.
Turn one is a bit hairy as the inside will be chocker and slow right up (no chance of me being first to get there and the outside is of course "off camber" and has slippery paint on the centerline and the road edge. ALL the road markings are as greasy as a butcher's prick. But you will love it !!!

And you will get a photo to show the grand children.
