the police were out there yesterday morning at about 10am breath testing everyone on peak rd. while talking to them they bought up the need to police the whole area heavily on thursday nights because of "Kiwibikers highspeed run". so i would say you guys will meet them regularly over the next few months.
God you are full of shit.

You talking off road, or punching a hole in the chocolate starfish and heading on up the Khyser Pass?

Au contraire-Ignorance of the Hazzard county coppers standard MO paints you as a puppy. The officer in question is a lying mofo; the ATNR is practically dead and at the very least has been very quiet over the winter months.

Check the ATNR thread yourself http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...highlight=atnr

Educate yourself on Hazzard county copper behaviour http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...d.php?t=102482

Next time you see the officer you can tell him he's full of shit, tell him I said so.

I think your missing the point, the local copper is at the very least treating the truth recklessly by accusing KBers of riding well over the limit, you in turn [based on said coppers BS] have come on line to give us a serve.
You must feel a little silly?.....An apology would clear the air donchya think?

It's a funny how I regularly ride that road & regularly curse the cyclists riding in bunches around the area the cyclist was killed, I have lost count of the times I have had to cross the centre line to pass those arrogant clowns as they cycle up the hill towards the accident site showing no consideration to other road users.
Last Sunday & surprise , surprise, the cyclists [ prob 20 ] are all riding up the hill spaced out & in single file.

There are some absolute clowns riding through that road on both powered & pedal power two wheelers. It was & matter of when not if someone got killed, although the deceased seems to have been extremely unlucky & the victim of some very poor driving.

Don't be sure that the same riders also pass back down the road - they don't.

We see cops, almost without fail, on every Thursday night ride.
There is no Kiwibikers high speed run and hasn't been for years now.
    ... Urban Myth.

250cc fours just sound like they are going fast when pulling 15,000 revs.

Oh that would be because there are no kindies, school's, church's, diveways, cyclists, cops, 50 & 70 k zones etc around coro aye??

We all live around public roads, ok there are bound to be a few that get carried away here and there, but given the recent history of coro loop (and while ACC are pissing people off) do you really think that encouraging all the hoons into one area will solve any problems? Think of what the residents of coro deal with.

You're full of shit because you have no idea what goes on on the ATNR. You're full of shit because fuck all - if any riders return that way. You're full of shit because you believe what the cops told you and he's full of shit. So you're the ignorant fool.

Those roads just happen to be used by 100s of motorcyclists. A little secret - not all motorcyclists are members of KB and most don't give a shit about "your" road. So if I feel like speeding down your road I shall do so - in fact, now that I know, I'll make a point of it.

Far be it for me to judge you.

Your judgement of the Stranger, on the other hand, I can absolutely confirm is wrong!
He is neither ignorant nor a fool.

    do you feel the love!

    your all missing the point!

the point was to state that

    1. people are riding the 80k area's far to fast.
    2. people need to be riding at the speed of what clear road they can see.
    3. someone is going to get hurt.

i don't get why you guys need to try and attack the concept of riding within the law or riding safely.
