Yes Ocicats are beautiful and very interesting. Not the smoochy standard moggy they tend to be highly alert and energetic. Yours is a beauty.

My Siamese, Maestro, is a great mate. He's old now, got a mangled ear, virtually no teeth, feline AIDS, dribbles........and everyone who comes across him loves him. He has personality to burn. I'm just about to pay a $500 vet bill for blood tests and removal of his remaining teeth but he's worth it. Indeed he's lived about 4 years longer than anyone expected.

Interesting how bikers have an affinity with cats. Independence.

We bought a persian kitten almost two years ago and he is a fuck-load more expensive than he is cute (I love him really). In total we have spent over 8k on him thus far and this sum i'm guessing, will continue to rise.

Our lease states there are to be no pets. Oops, must have skimmed over that part. So every time the landlord comes around we have to hide Stan in his cage in the car in the garage. We got sick of lying so decided to ask the landlord if we could have a cat. After much deliberation he decided this would be okay but we would have to pay another $800 into the bond to cover any possible damage the cat may do. Bastard!

I was happier off being dishonest.

More dog like than cat in some ways. Neither of ours like to be handled but will follow you around and come to a whistle or call. Seem to love company.

I am looking at getting another moggy.
I want a pure breed this time and have my heart set on a russian blue.
Anyone have one of these or can tell me anything?

They're loners ... or enjoy being alone.

And ... they've got places they just love being stroked .....

if it suits at the time ....

    RIP, Spotty

I mentioned earlier in the thread that one of our cats was crook.
Sadly, Spotty lost her battle (with what was suspected to be liver cancer) a couple of days ago.
She had shot through (presumably to be alone) for a couple of days, but came home to die in the comfort of her home. She is buried in the garden. Spotty was my mate, and was a brave, lovely little cat

Sorry to hear about Spotty. It is very special that she came back home at the end- cats so often go off to die. She obviously had a very strong love for you. I hope all the happy memories you have of her will comfort you.
