Sure. Talk sense to me. Give me a good reason believe that it's a hoax. Not half cooked paranoid bs. Evidence.

    AAAoooow! love those F1s

Mahnn, 1st stage 5 F1 rocket motors 20 tons per sec kerosene and O2. If i remember right. Stuff the carbon footprint. Was beautiful then came the space scuttle (spelling correct). Wasted opportunity for the USA and the rest of us, could have been at Mars by now.

Explosion is the motors starting, nice and cool flame. When the motors ignite they thrust down into a huge blast vent. So the pressure below draws the flame down. It gets sucked down. The blast duct deflects the rockets heat at start up and helps protect the launch gantry. They also dump tons of water onto the launch pad to cool it.

If you're trolling, best of luck to you. If you're actually serious, you need to go and get certified.

    Mankind's last great achievement
I disagree. The Apollo project was impressive, but it was neither the greatest or the last of mankind's great achievements.
The greatest pleasure of my recent life has been speed on the road. . . . I lose detail at even moderate speed but gain comprehension. . . . I could write for hours on the lustfulness of moving swiftly.

Amazing vid. Who has composed the soundtrack?
"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule
