protip: the grit and debris that we saw on the port levy road wasn't in the car tracks, so if you stick to the car tracks you'll be fine.

if you go slow, take your time, watch the road AND relax there's absolutly no reason why you cannot get to port levy and back famously.
Yep just a little gravel in between tyre tracks, on about three corners in the downhill lane on the Diamond Harbour side of Port Levy Road.

Hardly enough to be worth a mention.

The only thing I'd say is that one of those corners is in shadow in the evening - that's really the only one which could potentially catch someone out, because it's kind of difficult to see.

Shot up there on the trail bike in the weekend and the road is mostly good. Just a very little bit of grit in the middle of the road from the last snow.

Shadows is correct and a good shot to boot.

most if not near all the riders on the WNR are newish them selves, we are all forever learning. The group does well these days after learning a few lessons the harder way, it is an idal ride to do ya own thing and socalise. just dont expect a lot of help from experanced riders as its not how the rides aimed.

did I say that with out offending anyone?
Na not new, not even slightly worn.

With any group there is likely to be some one along who will take a risk and put themselves in peril. You find out who they are prety quickly when they make a couple of stuff ups, and then they usually dissapear.

Works gone mad with orders I have to make so I'll be going mad at work making up orders instead of joining you all on the ride.
Looks like I'm going to miss more than I expected this season.

I'll be sitting this week out - the TDM is in dry-dock as we speak (well, type, obviously). And with the 4WD away for a WoF today, I had to (gulp) BICYCLE to work. All six kilometres. There AND back...

Dry dock!!!!! LOL Shock dock more like it...... I saw your bike today OUCH! poor baby..
On another note though, mine has just arrived back up the driveway with the long wheely mechanic on it and its sounds lovely. Pockets empty but at least I know I'm in for a good riding season with a service done, plugs changed, new rear tyre, brakes checked, etc etc Roll on the good weather.

Oh and on a wednesday night note...... My Matt now has a full set of gear so he'll be coming along more often now...

My bike is in the safe hands of motorcycling health professionals for a tune-up, service, etc - no worries there. RQ probably is'nt overstating things - I haven't seen it in it's current state - it might be too much for my delicate sensibilities. As for the bicycle - it's the easterly headwind all the way home that did for me; I'm off for a nice cup of tea and a wee lie-down.

Good to hear that its something simple. Obviously you've never seen your bike naked!

I'd have thought a scotch would be more your cup of tea, so to speak!
