Does anyone know where i can get my hands on a starter motor for a cbx750 bold'or 1987.

They specialise in bikes and did a fantastic job on my Blackbird stator rebuild.

try purchasing the brush plate from the bike shop as it is usually these that fail due to water and corrosion. I was surprised how easy they are to replace, hardest part was removing the starter motor. Cog fell of end of starter motor inside motor.

Start with the obvious: What's actually wrong with yours? If you don't know get it checked and find out. It may be something as simple as worn brushes which is not only a cheap fix, but the exact same aliment that a second hand unit may be about to suffer from shortly after installation.
