You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.

We have a VW Passsssssssat.......
So if any of the Wellington KBers see me waving from it dont worry I am not a crazy cager.... Just missing riding a bike.![]()
If you are behind me
Dont ask as I am lost too.
My first car was a 1984 Nissan Silvia, S12, SOHC 1.8 l non-intercooled turbo. Someone had mucked around with the turbo and I had to change it shortly after buying it - with the new mill it was an awesome car to drive.
Not my old car, but same colour and model:
Now I've got the most anonymous car on the road, a stock standard white 1998 Subaru Legacy GT-B, manual of course. A bit thirsty, but in all regards a pleasant and practical car for getting around the South Island. She looks a bit rough around the edges, but that's fine with me. Been spending the money on proper maintenance instead of irrelevant cosmetics.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)
Remember your humanity, and forget the rest. - Joseph Rotblat
Before I came to NZ:
One of these:
GTV6 Twin Turbo
And one of these:
With one of these in it:
2.6l V8 atmo tuned to cca. 330ps
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
Just a couple of my cars from the past
1. car for collage(my first shaggin wagon)
2. teenage shaggin wagon
3. another shaggin wagon
4. had about 7 minis
Yep, I'm a tinkerer (amongst other 4 letter descriptions) and don't see why folks have to limit themselves to only one mechanical vice. If it's got wheels or boobs I'm all over it.
The mini below started as my good lady's 1098cc work commuter, and ended up as a turbo/intercooled 1310cc hand grenade. Sadly sold when we moved back to NZ from Oz. Good fun but frustratingly unreliable...dunno why
The mustang is our current weekender....or would be if the only 21st century part on it (electronic dizzy) hadn't shit itself.
I feel your pain with the gixxer, twice as badly to be honest 'cos I've two of the fuggin' things at the moment. I've come to terms with my folly, whilst you may still be in denial. Don't worry, the burden becomes easier to carry, lol. Admit your mistake, embrace your pain, and move on.
My first and current car. Had it for a year and a half, is still fun despite the "Additions".
1995 Toyota Celica, much nicer than the newer ones IMO.
beat this for rare! used to own 1 of these before the wife and kids made me sell it(1 of only 2 in the country) 46 studebaker pickup
EDIT: not the same vehicle mine had 4" choped out of the roof and was sectioned 4.5" but all the photos were lost in a fire
