Really?! I would've thought that even a sprotboike rider like me would get a buzz from it the first time round! Wouldn't want to do it every weekend mind, and I agree with other posters that excessively loud bikes aren't much fun to listen to, but any well tuned motor on just the right pipes pushes my buttons

I've been considering a Harley to muck around on now and then, bit miffed about the looming rego costs though, that's a fair penny to pay for the privlege of owning something that I'd only use in the summer with the wife on fine days

Well it's not a real Harley then is it? If I ever do buy a Harley, then I certainly won't be purchasing it because of its braking and cornering abilities.

That's the thing hey.

I'd like a Street Bob to replace my aging Thunderbird, or a new Thunderbird to replace my Thunderbird.
Urban use, cruising, stepping out.

Keep the XB12X for touring, something for the track and a proper Dual Sport, a trail bike and job done.

I'd probably go for the Triumph because I already have the nice gear. :-)

Yeah - I don't like the straight through pipes thing either.
But a de-baffled H-D big block is possibly the nicest sounding bike to ride (as in on-board) that I've tested so far. That or the Rune.

It's the crowds I'd find onerous at those mega events. 100,000

Not really about the substance, but about the timing of the episode.
Check if the one last week was season 13 episode 11, and if the one next week is season 13 episode 13. If not, then the harley episode is out of the ordinary order.

I've just taken the short (20cm) baffles out of my fishtails and replaced them with 50cm perforated tube surrounded with stainless wool. Had to do something to lower the volume a bit. They're still louder than I'd ideally like but, as mentioned above, they sound f'kin' glorious!

I went for a ride today and must have had about ten Harely's ride by, only one rider made an attempt to wave and it was more of a curt nod in my direction.

The other nine were proberly too busy going BRRRRUP!!!, BRRRRRUP!! out loud.
