Yeah man, there was that little thing with the not having a licence for nine months, remember, and I don't usually bother with night rides in winter, but Betty and I could be keen on a bit of a thrash to the pub at entirely legal speeds sometime soon.

I emailed them anyway with a pretty standard argument.

Hi,

I am a motorcyclist, and naturally I am biased and disagree with the toll...

But, I believe motorcyclists shouldn't have to pay the toll because:

*Smaller carbon footprint, better for the environment
*Doesn't contribute to traffic jams
*Doesn't have any wear effect on the road surface itself, whereas cars and trucks do - supporting the fact that they should be paying for the road.

We all know how bad the traffic can get on that section of road in summer as people flock north on the weekends.

Personally If I had to pay a toll, Id use the convenience of my car - thus increasing my carbon footprint, adding to the traffic, and the eventual deterioration of the road.
