Was a great ride, no incidents. Will be interested to see how well it gets covered on One News.

It was substantial, a few hundred bikes. I find it pretty hard to guess, but would have thought it similar in size to the WIMA pink ribbon ride, probably a bit bigger.

Yeah - good turn out. I was towards the back and we kept getting separated from the leading bunch, breaking up the overal effect.

Note to leaders of the next rides SLOWER at the front please.

Jolly good. No incidents and hopefully not too many distressed car drivers...
Well done everyone, especially the organisers!

(Hopefully the bear will get a nice home with a kiddie who will appreciate him.)

Really we should be saying "thank you" to ACC. What other organisation could unify so many bikers?

Cool ride, and my first group ride.

Was good to put a few faces to avatars and meet some people.

    Big thanks to the organisers.

I think I was the only L plate there.

I was also towards the back. I'm new to big rides but I believe a big issue was cars in the line plus the concrete truck with half a dozen tag-on cages on the Southern didn't help either. A ute from Ullrich Aluminium (IIRC) was pretty pushy, but I'll be buggered if I managed to remember his plate.

Speaking to someone on a CS650 at the end, he thought we needed more chasers and traffic control or similar, which maybe would have helped those of us towards the back...? He had been putting in the effort.

Could I have done more to help? To be honest on my first big ride I wasn't comfortable trying to do that sort of job. Maybe next time if it seems appropriate.

The main thing is that it was a success with no incidents and a good turnout. Well done and thanks to the organisers.

I have to work Tuesday so won't make the Bikoi. But I'm sticking with this campaign and Jonathan Coleman will be getting a visit next up.

    Cheers - Chasio

380 counted out the gate at the BP Autobahn, then numbers grew as we picked up riders at the various ends of teh motorway. A great day for it not too hot nor too cold.
Everyone got their riding sussed pretty quickly and we got to our ultimate destination completely intact.
Speakers were all exceptional(yes Mom) even you,LOL, seriously your points were 100%on the money, well done guys and girls.
Was good to hear Phil Goff say if this change did come about he/labour "would" repeal it!
Worth noting too that this and other regional rides are considered to be pat of the build up to Tuesdays Main Event ride and that that is to be considered the start of the Bikers campaign, not the end!
I couldn't agree more National need to know that if they allow this proposal to become law they're finished.250,000 + riders and others alone could wipe out their entire majority and make absolutely sure of Act being wiped from the face of Parliament.
This is what will happen, no one is stopping their vigil after Tuesday's ride.
    Welligton here we come.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

Nearly, what a lucky bastard to crash where a senior F/F, a Nurse AND a Doctor turn up!
(it was very minor on the hill leaving the domain)

Other than that what an awesome turnout. Was incredible passing all the bikes coming back from the Westgate roundabout we came up to it.

I was on the Sunset Road bridge over The Northern Motorway , taking photos.
It was a great sight, It took just under 10 minutes from the leaders till TEC went past me. A rough count from the photos shows around 300 bikes. (Edit. I count 331 bikes)

I will upload the rest of the photos to a photo server tonight and post the link.

In the mean time, here is the lead group. In the top rhs you can make out headlights from the middle of the pack.

Thanks to Maha and crew for setting this up.
