    Hey Mully,

We met the couple on the boulevard (the guy in black leathers and his partner in pink) from your photo. Didn't get their names tho. The lad on the red gixxer in that photo is my boy EnzoYug, and the gal on the lil' VTR behind him is me!

I was trying to do a bit of a head count at the Wellesley st lights as the bikes were coming through. Gave up at around 300 and could still see the line the lenght of the Wellesley st off ramp.
The video that BD put up shows us crossing the bridge, what an awesome sight that must have been, pretty much the view I was getting at 'light contol' towards the end..

That video is cool. It's biggest gathering of bikes that I have seen, except at the bike shows in the UK but that doesn't count really. Must have been impressive to watch.

Imagine what Tuesday is going to be like

You were a part of the biggest protest ride Auckland has seen in a number of years yesterday.

Heres what I said at the end of the ride......

''We have kept this rediculous ACC Levy issue in the public eye.

    We wont let go
We wont just roll over and say ''ah fuck it, its all good''.

Any increase in the ACC levy part of the (motor vehicle registration) should be fair and just for all those that (who at anytime) may need ACC cover.

To simply lay blame and target bikers is just not acceptable.

And to the many non-biker people I have spoken to over the last few weeks about it, they all feel our plight is totally justified.

    We are all voters right?

We are the minority of road users so I guess, in the Governments eyes, we are the Easy Target.
Well, the Easy Target is here for the duration and beyond.

And to combine this ride with Heart Children is just an added bonus''.

Tuesday will be massive, I for one are really looking forward seeing the news coverage tuesday night.

Hmmmm, would be nice to think we will get decent coverage, but not so sure.
Wife just brought home Sunday Star rag. Yesterdays protest rated a few lines, no photos, on page 2. Most of it about the fact that someone had binned.
In the same edition the Killer wasps or bees or flys (whatever they call themselves) received a full 2 page advertorial, bloody good for recruiting.
Looks like if we want decent print coverage we are going to have to wear silly bandannas and mimic the yanks. Big ups to da Star bro..Da Gang Star..Yo!!!!
Or we could just up the anti....
Anyone for a nude ride through the CBD?

I think, if and when we need to, we can close down the big centers at any time we wish, we just hope we don't need to go that far.
Wondering how the guy who binned is feeling now? I know how I would feel.
He at least came out to support the campaign and so deserves some credit. Lets look after our own. How about a get well soon card, with a small "don't do it again" message tucked away in the bottom corner?
Cmon, we're only human (Nick Smith exempt).
I was as pissed as the next person when I saw the guy on the tarmac, but it could be turned into a positive if we could find out his riding history and discover he has not done any rider training or had a lot of experience on NZ roads. Not only would his tyres have been cold but they looked new as well.
It's exactly what we are pushing for in our campaign - spend the money on accident prevention and comprehensive rider training courses.

    (oops NOT an L-Plate Rider!

So was it on lovers lane itself or Lower Domain Drive?
The lower domain driver has probably the WORST off camber corners in auckland haha, It's terrible, not very familiar with Lovers Lane though.
