I used to work with the stuff in my early days of flooring, but being afraid of heights, I didn't take long for me to stop doing it.
Never got to do any low level stuff.

If i seem defensive of riders of one brand of bike I'm not its just that now is a time for a bit of unity and perhaps a bit more tolerence than normal amongst bikers

Its all good, im not gonna pop a vein, i'm happy the right people have stepped up and stadium staff think we bikers are great

they loved it, they hope for some good photo's etc
Rustic can get the figures from Welly Free Ambulance soon on their collection too

Once the quote for the concrete hole is in we will do the collection, easier when ya have a target

Its gonna be done real fast and weve been assured that the time frames we are lookin at wont allow any seepage issues, so thanks for the tip of temporary sealing etc, but its ok, all sorted
    Just ride.

The difference is that we got a positive resolution out of it.

What makes it even more despicable is that StoneY has put his own time into this and this is what he's lumped with.

Next time, just have staff, equiped with short lengths of galv pipe,to ram in the spokes of anyone beginning to spin up their rear wheel.

It may be a small country, but even that has it's benefits. For example you're never that far from an international airport. Honestly. Book yourself a ticket and find out for yourself.

I agree - I was photographing the ride south of Levin for a newspaper and trust me, if I wasn't a supporter of the cause, I could have taken some great shots of a group of idiots (mixture of Harleys and sports bikes) who crossed the double yellow lines to overtake the main pack of riders - so they obviously weren't part of the organised ride. In the path of oncoming cars and they had just got to the end of a passing lane anyway - didn't matter to them. I chose NOT to photograph them but I did shake my head at them as they passed me. Same goes for the guy on a large cruiser who wasn't alert enough to notice the passing lane had ended so had to swerve violently and then shook his fist at the driver of the van that was in front of him when the lanes merged.

If I had not been into bikes myself, you can imagine what the front page could have looked like "Dangerous riders claim ACC is unfairly targeting them" - and that's not the message we're trying to get across.

As for this dickhead at the stadium, I think he should be made to pay for the damage he caused. It was intentional, it was stupid, it was NOT the time nor the place, and he deserves to be held accountable. If I knew who he was I'd pass on the details and I hope either the rider or someone else comes forward. I don't care if you class it as narking - grow up!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

the marshals did a good job stopping trouble, at 1 point when everyone was leaving there was a couple of bikes reving when 2 cops walked past and making like they were going to do somthing, pedro did a really good job of difusing it and getting them on there way, hats off to him! handling the stadium on the day had to be the hardest job

And once in a very long while some of it is actually useful

What would be useful is if someone took a photo of this burnout, there must be someone who snapped even a cell phone picture, or perhaps took some carpark pics earlier and can go back and check for a number plate?
Do we know what the bike looked like, custom paint or anything that could distinguish it?
