We need to stop looking at (and treating) motorcycles as toys.

    Children play with toys.
What's wrong with calling it a toy? If I didn't then it would just be a form of transport like my car. But I dont see it like that and often go out for a 'play'. So I think toy fits.

It is just a form of transport. (Albeit one that provides the greatest potential enjoyment for getting from A to B).

It also has the potential to kill you in the blink of an eye.

Look upon it as a 'toy' at your peril.

What if A and B happen to be the same place? Then you haven't been transported anywhere

So you never go for a ride just because you feel like it, not actually because you need to go somewhere?

I never said it wasn't a dangerous toy.

Bollocks, my VFR is just a ornament according to you then, as it only goes from the pits back to the pits (unless it ends up in a tyrewall, but let's ignore that).

It has no purpose other than fun, as you can't count laps as any sort of useful transportation. Which makes it just an expensive toy.

If you look upon your bike that you use on the track as nothing more than playing with a toy then fair enough.

We're not talking about trackbikes here though.

I wonder how many kids have choked to death on their legitimate toys.
