Is it still possible to get in on this? (superbly organised as usual) I don't know if both nights would be on but me and the missus *may* be able to sneak saturday night if there's still somewhere to sleep, maybe catch up for lunch at blackball on saturday and join in the fun for the night.

If it's possible I'll see if I can start making some cunning plans, if not that's cool.

You can't hold that against us, I didn't know it was part of the deal when I signed up, and she didn't have a choice

So what's the deal and who do I talk to?

Anybody traveling Via The Lewis Pass on Friday afternoon?
    Or
Are there any plans for a group ride from CHCH over Arthers Pass on friday arvo?
I would much rather travel with others than alone, last year was a fooking long ride on my own,
I can adjust my time of leaving work on the friday to suit catching up with a group going in either direction, althought the Lweais would be my prefered route.

I'm heading over Lewis Fri morn, going to Murchison for lunch, then back track a bit to do the Upper Buller Gorge, and on to the site.

Using google earth you can SEE the roads (and empty beer-cans, used joes etc etc).

Sweet, just making sure there would be a bed if we turned up on saturday. She's not super keen at the moment but I'm sure that will change once she recovers from the weekend.

We could always tent it if need be, particularly if someone that's taking a car could cart some gear for us *not very subtle hint*

piece a piss either turn at Jacksons via Lake Brunner Rd, Bell Hill Rd, Hanpin RD, Kopara
or if comming from Blackball cross the Grey on Taylorville Rd to Stillwater and on to SH7to Nelson Creak Rd to Nelson ck and out the other side to Hanpin Rd to Kopara.
From Greymouth take SH7 to Nelson Creak Rd to Nelson ck and out the other side to Hanpin Rd to Kopara.

Yep, that's the one. I was talking to Cruza about it at the Magpie and he was keen, and talking to Kwaka z1000 at Nelson, he was interested too.

Me and a bro or two and maybe another lurker will be on the morning ferry out of Welly, which going on previous experience will put us in Murchison for (late-ish) lunch - might see you there. Pub or tearooms?
