And according to the ACC way of costing things, you need that $250,000 when they are born!

I wouldn't trade my 3 (and 3/4) kids for a brand new MotoGP bike each year, no fucken way.

People that use the excuse of kids being expensive to raise as a reason not to have them is seriously deluded.

For a few years there I had a different bike every six months, doing 18000km on ecah before moving onto the next. Since having kids, I reckon I'm saving 25K a year in bikes and have more fun.

    Funny old world aint it.....

Yeah, but your kids are little.
While I love my Mutant Troglodyte Spawn dearly, I wish I'd never had them: it's far too much worry and stress, and there seems to be very little joy in it these days. And they had such promise when they were small.. What have I done to wreck them?

Anyways, NC - it's your decision, but I too "has sads". Please keep hanging around here, Ruth.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Doesn't the government hand you that sort of money when you have one anyway?
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Assuming you were on the DPB from birth till 18, you'd collect about 280,000 in benefits from Uncle Key.
