Almost sure its the big end, I cant remember seeing a piston seizure on a fxr , but plenty of big ends. Easy fixed just book it in at the MotoFXR repair centre (brens place)

Hey cheers Yow, yea I'm back from my week away playing golf and will contact bren again this weekend and get a diagnosis. But it sounds like you are right thinking about it. I'm going to try and get to the battle of the buckets but just to watch and will get the bike all set for the new season. Need to sort out some sticky tires and a new chain.
I love my Bucket.
Have been in contact with Bren, dropping the engine into him tomorrow for the replacement of the big end.
Is there a limit to the size of the plate that your number gets put on? Probably a silly question but however, there it is.
Have made up some plates from a scrap car bumper.

Holy crap, didn't think i would get such a response as that. I have something made pretty close to those measurements, haven't had the numbers done yet as I haven't registered a number yet. Still have to join the necessary clubs. How strict are they on the sizing if it is only bucket racing?
Thanks for all the info.
I love my Bucket.
I'm intending to join the BMRC next year but do you think if I contacted them now they would hold a racing number for me ready for when I join? I have a number in mind and I can see that it is still available but don't want someone else to grab it.![]()
