You obviously had more to drink than you thought!

Actually that photo you suggested for the badge would be a good one!

Well that was another great weekend away, left here thursday arvo arrived at the Princess's in Dunners for a rost meal with Rm, Mrs S, left firday morning picked up Nighthawk & coldcomfort in town & headed nth, the 1st problem we had was getting pulled over by the Arthurs pass for allegdedly speeding so after a he sent me & CC on our way with no ticket nice plod that man
arrived @ Kopara 1730 ish with it persisting down as it was for most of the weekend was great catching up with the old, odd, & new faces good entertainment all round & the well you know that were there a big thanks to doc & Flip for bringing their black powder guns & to Dave, Brian & the other fulla :slap: for got his name

we were the last to leave as we were in no hurry headed sth & thought we would stay out at Nicks bay (just this side of Jacksons bay) but as it was good ole west coast rain straight down we decided to to carry on after a coffe at Hasst, next thing there's a & Xknuts shows up from behind a fence, so after coffee we left for the pass & what doya know stop raining as we went over the top, was great run into Wanaka where we stayed with friends with Xknuts heading to Alex

we left Wanaka about 9am after a leisurely breakfast then arrived home 1030 fire going no kids cya

a big thank you to our traveling mates

Yup. Great weekend! Rode in heavy rain most of the way to Springfield where I stopped for a feed just as the 3 Wellington boys were leaving. Wind was so strong I could hardly stand, so the nice man at Ned's diner suggested I put the bike in the shed with the big jet-boats so it wouldn't blow over.

Met NH, RM @ co at the petrol stn and led off, expecting them to catch up, but missed the turn-off and went to Darfield, so I guess they passed me.

Stopped for a coffee with a friend at Grumpy's camp near Geraldine, then home via the main drag. Ran into rain just before Waikaiouiti(sp) which was so heavy the gutters couldn't cope so sheltered under a shop veranda.

The rest of the trip was uneventful with the road drying out about Blueskin Bay. Home at about 9.15.

A great outing to be sure. Enjoyed the company of the "league of extraordinary gentlemen" and their partners on the way up too.

I'm beginning to see a pattern developing here...
Great to touch base with those i know and meet a couple i didn't so all good. Sadly couldn't stay for the black powder shoot but duty called elsewhere. I was the recipient of the highway patrol's seasonal benevolence on the way back too Shrek so feel doubly blessed!
Got some pics but having trouble shrinking them. Will persevere later.
