You obviously had more to drink than you thought!
Actually that photo you suggested for the badge would be a good one!

Yup. Great weekend! Rode in heavy rain most of the way to Springfield where I stopped for a feed just as the 3 Wellington boys were leaving. Wind was so strong I could hardly stand, so the nice man at Ned's diner suggested I put the bike in the shed with the big jet-boats so it wouldn't blow over.
Met NH, RM @ co at the petrol stn and led off, expecting them to catch up, but missed the turn-off and went to Darfield, so I guess they passed me.
Stopped for a coffee with a friend at Grumpy's camp near Geraldine, then home via the main drag. Ran into rain just before Waikaiouiti(sp) which was so heavy the gutters couldn't cope so sheltered under a shop veranda.
The rest of the trip was uneventful with the road drying out about Blueskin Bay. Home at about 9.15.

A great outing to be sure. Enjoyed the company of the "league of extraordinary gentlemen" and their partners on the way up too.

I'm beginning to see a pattern developing here...
Great to touch base with those i know and meet a couple i didn't so all good.Sadly couldn't stay for the black powder shoot but duty called elsewhere. I was the recipient of the highway patrol's seasonal benevolence on the way back too Shrek so feel doubly blessed!
